Old smooth-top ranges
The 2024 re-announcement covers ranges sold as far back as 2001. Old ranges last a long time, so some of these are still in use. If a Frigidaire or Kenmore Elite smooth-top element comes on by itself or will not turn off, stop using that element and check the model against the recall before booking a repair.
