This policy explains what information Chicago Repair Co (“we”) collects through chicagorepairco.com and the phone line shown on it, and what we do with it.
Information you give us
When you send the request form we collect your name, phone number, ZIP code, the appliance and brand, and anything you write in the message box. When you call, the call-routing system records your phone number, the time and length of the call, and may record the call itself where the caller is told that recording is in progress.
How we use it
- To connect you with an independent repair provider that serves your ZIP code, and to pass them your request so they can contact you.
- To confirm a call was connected, handle billing with our routing partners, and resolve complaints.
- To keep the service secure and prevent spam and fraud.
We do not sell your information to data brokers. We share it only with the provider handling your request, the call-routing and form-processing services that make this work, and authorities where the law requires it. Once a provider has your details, its own privacy policy governs how it uses them.
Cookies and analytics
The site works without cookies. We store your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage so the banner does not keep appearing. If you choose “Accept”, we load Google Analytics, which sets cookies to count visits and see which pages are useful. If you choose “Decline”, no analytics script loads. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookies” link in the footer, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Text messages and calls
If you submit the form, you agree that a repair provider may call or text you about that request. Reply STOP to any text to opt out. Consent is not required to buy anything.
How long we keep it
We keep request and call records for up to 30 days: long enough to pass your request on, confirm the call was connected and deal with any follow-up. After that we delete them. Records the repair provider keeps are governed by the provider’s own policy.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing help@chicagorepairco.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.
Children
This service is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
